What to Expect?

Friday is finally here! I'm tired today. This week we worked out a lot, I still have one more workout combined with weight lifting to go. Compared to what I did the last week, this week was awesome.
We had our ultrasound on Monday, which was a treat. We got to see the baby moving and how much growth is happening inside! I can't tell how much my stomach has grown unless I look at photos of myself. You can really tell the changes if I wait to compare it from month to month. That has been really interesting.
We are happy to prepare our hearts and lives for the arrival of this baby. In two months we should know if we are having a boy of a girl and I can't wait! Yesterday a good friend took me to Target so I could learn about the things that I may need for the new born. It was a treat, specially cause I was really clueless about what's out there. I enjoyed looking at everything. That evening Zeke and I decided we were going to go ahead and get a registry going. Once we started down the isles, we realized we don't know the sex of the baby, so there's only so much we can ask for :)
That was funny.
I'm not reading daily about babies and birth. Once a week I look for info so I know what's going on inside, that's been really helpful. I'm focusing more on relaxing, enjoying myself and making positive confessions about pregnancy, birth, baby and our family.
It seems that you hit a point in the pregnancy where everyone starts presenting you with things that may go wrong. That instills fear in a person and that's not good for mom or baby. God has not given us a spirit of fear but of POWER, LOVE and a SOUND MIND.
Living everyday life is full of choices for this pregnant lady. Do I yield to fear or do I dismiss it for the joy of the Lord? I'm gonna count on joy and believe God every step of the way.
God has granted me an awesome first trimester. I was a little tired for a few weeks but my energy is pretty much back. I can say that I learned to take care of this pregnant body and to give the rest and nourishment it needs. I'm looking forward to the second trimester and to the third. Wow, time is really flying by. My baby will be in my arms before I know it. That's good.
The nursery is almost ready. We've done what I consider the major work (carpet), now everything else will be pretty cosmetic (painting, decorating, etc). I was advised to finish the nursery before the third trimester when you are usually really tired. We are definately following this advice! Happy Weekend everyone!
