Infantino has recalled the SlingRider I have. I finally went to the U.S. website to get the process going. Here's how the process works. First, go to this website to find out if the product you have is part of the recall.
They told me to cut a part of the product and mail it back with the online form I filled out and printed.
These people give you 4 options of things you can get back for the returned product! I chose number one.
I'm glad many lives will be saved because of this recall and I was glad to be able to get something safe back.
I got this particular Infantino carrier as a gift. The person who gave me the gift actually warned me to be sure to check for recalls on things. I used it when LP was little but it didn't seem sturdy enough for him. The color was also a killer with that summer heat so I waited til he turned 6 months to give it another try. He was sitting up, so he would sit there and I would carry him around (mostly in church). When he was younger this thing didn't give a lot of neck support, I must admit, so we gave up on it and now I thank God for it!
Once I get the new carrier I'll post a photo here. I'll also be sure to do a review of the Moby Wrap. I'm super excited about the Moby. I am waiting for LB to be born so I can actually start wearing it. Be safe everyone and be sure to keep your ears and eyes open for all sorts of recalls.
