Courage

It takes courage to live my life.  It takes courage to live yours. Think about all your wonderful roles.
I'm a wife. My precious kids were born 15 months apart. I work as a consultant, I am one of the worship leaders at our church. I teach a foreign language. My priorities are to take care of my husband and raise my children in the instruction of the Lord.  Please believe me, we do not have Sunday School 24/7, rather, we aim to live a balanced life.
Many women before me needed courage to live life and raise awesome men and women. Today, as I looked at my schedule I realized, I needed courage.
God can and will give us much more courage than our circumstances require. I've always been a bold kind of woman but motherhood has a way of developing a need for more in my case. Each day I realize that only through God's help I can go through each day and finish strong.
Joshua was once faced with the need of courage and this is what God told him:

Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:7-9

Moses had left his life. This was it for Joshua. In my case, mom is not here when I need some down time for uninterrupted cleaning or to take one of my children to an appointment. I'm it. The Word of God reminds me there is a way to prosper wherever I go: obey His Teachings (the Bible) and be strong.
I find strength as I choose to meditate in the Word of God instead of meditating on my problems. There is life in the Word and if I tap in that resource, I become stronger and well able to live this awesome life. I don't sit to read the Bible for 5 hours {no time}. So I either look up the Scriptures online or I listen to the Bible. There you have it, no excuses to tap on this source of strength.
I want to encourage you to be strong and of good courage. God has all the strength you need.  Let's do our part by taping into His Wisdom {the Bible}.

Sending you lots of love! {and encouragement]. It's so hard to balance and keep our eyes on the cross. I, too, am mom to two littles and doing a million side projects to help pay bills.

Finding my strength in the Lord is a daily struggle... I need to remember to lean on Him more!

Thanks for these words!
