8 Days of Cooking: What's for Dinner?

Tuesday, October 25, 2011

I had grand plans when I started my #Whatsfordinner Challenge. This is what actually happened:
Arroz de Forno & Salad

Zeke fixed baked pasta with salad & Garlic Bread

Potato & cabbage cream soup

A brunch out: chicken and waffles

Lentils and cornbread

Baked chicken, green beans and rice
• I was able to use ingredients from my own pantry
• I became more methodical about planning dinner foods
• We saved big time on going out to eat

• We ate together more often
• The kids had the most fun trying new foods
It was a great experience and I look forward to continuing to add variety to our 'rice and beans' kind of menu.
What about you, what are you cooking for dinner tonight?
