"Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6 (AMP)

This week as we focus on hearts, I am reminded on what's inside of mine. I have some prayers that haven't been answer yet and I would love to see that happen real quick. This Bible passage reminds me to change my focus from immediacy to trustful living. My heart and mind need to be engaged in this deal. I have spent a lot of time surrendering requests just to pick them back up again. Today I will know, recognize and acknowledge God so that He can make my paths straight and plain.
This stuff is not easy but it can be done. I'm gonna experiment with this today. I will choose to let go of my need for immediate results and just keep going. By keep going I mean, pick up the broom and clean, cook dinner, etc. I will enjoy today and remember that I am not responsible for the answer to my prayers.
QUESTION • What's in your heart today? Can you let go of immediacy and exchange it for trustful living?
