Fall Eats

Tuesday, September 17, 2013

We're still in the heat of the summer but it's officially Fall because Starbucks said so (go PSL!). As you know, if I can make it ANYBODY can. Here are two Fall recipes that actually taste good.

I got this recipe from Haley Eats. I didn't add the cool whip or the nuts to mine and it's still good! The kids have been eating it too (except for the baby) which says a lot about this recipe. The calories (or points if you follow Weight Watchers) are super low and the taste is very pleasant. This is a great dessert to take to a party if you are concerned about your food intake but still want to enjoy food and friends.
I made a version of The Preppy Paleo's non-dairy Pumpkin Spice latte too. I didn't add any sweetener because I don't like to sweeten my coffee (or tea). It was great to know that I can save major bucks this Fall by making my own favorite coffee shop drinks. Another thing I learned from this experience was to add Pumpkin Pie Spice to my coffee EVERY TIME I drink it. Delish!
Other than these I will be attempting traditional Fall recipes only on Thanksgiving. I can't convince my husband that pumpkin pie is good so I won't bake one just for me. We will all enjoy Pecan Pie on Thanksgiving for sure.
