10 Years Together

My husband and I sat down for our first "date" on Thursday, November 6, 2003. I was actually interviewing him about his music. Thank God my boss gave me that life changing assignment!
10 years ago and today: do we look different?
Somehow we knew we were destined to be together. We just really enjoyed each other's company and being together was very refreshing. I met Zeke on his birthday month and I immediately threw a party in his honor. We have not stopped celebrating him since!
This girl can tan! Summer of 2004.
We dated for a year and we were engaged for another year. Our wedding was super small but very meaningful. There was a total of 7 people in our wedding. We had a bigger celebration 4 months later and that's where we took this picture.
God provided us with everything we needed
from the dress to the cakes. We're thankful!
We didn't start having kids until we were both ready for it. Yes, that means I was bugging Zeke way before he was ready. I'm glad we waited until we were in unity.
Our 3 heirs!
Our children are God sent, no doubt about it. They add a new depth of love into our relationship. My idealistic idea was that our love for each other was so big that the obvious solution is to expand it to other generations. Of course children do this and much more for the life of a family.
Today I am thankful for my honorable husband who loves me deeply. I'm also thankful for the challenging times we've had. We're two imperfect people heavily relying on Jesus Christ as the rock in which we stand. I believe and pray that the years ahead will be even more blessed.
I love you Zeke. Life with you is amazing!
