The Heartache of Christmas

Friday, December 5, 2014

The heartache of Christmas is not uncommon to God and men.
God sent His only Son to the world to die for our sins. His first night in the manger and His last at cross was provided from a Father knew it all. Still, God loved us so that He sent Jesus to be born as one of us to save all of us.

The heartache of Christmas is not unusual to men and God.
Humanity is not immune from life’s ups and downs. Disease, betrayal, grief and disgust can live in the hearts of millions who walk around in this season of joy. Joy to the world is what they hear, depression to the heart is what they feel. Still, Jesus knows our pain because He felt it and He was sent to heal the brokenhearted.

The heartache of Christmas is bearable because the Holy One in the manger came to comfort, to give beauty, joy and to lift the spirit of heaviness.

The message of Christmas does not exclude those who carry great heartache this Christmas. Immanuel came just for you, broken and messed up as you are. He will rebuild and restore that which is destructed.
