I'm running the Houston Marathon this morning (pray for me) so I thought I'd share with you 7 Bible verses that will help me get to the finish line.

1. "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9

2. "no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways." Psalm 91:10-11

3. "The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" Psalm 27:1

4. "Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God" 2 Cor. 3:5

5. "But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me." 2 Corinthians 12:9

6. "but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint." Isaiah 40:31

7. "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you." Psalm 32:8
