A New Adventure: Preschool Music and Movement Teacher

Wednesday, July 29, 2015

Oh summer! It seems like every year get to learn a big God lesson. Last year I took an intensive course on servanthood. This summer’s course was on contentment. God led me through the painful journey of dealing with dissatisfaction. Let me tell you, things are way better on the other side of that displeasure. I am still learning how to dwell in this new land of equanimity specially because God is my stability.
summer is better with waterbaloons

The kids are having an amazing time - as they should. I appreciate how oblivious they are to what I am going thru. On the other hand, they have become great fruit inspectors. They other day they asked me why I "looked cross" when I was working on my computer. I embarrassingly admitted that I was thinking about something else. I told them they can always remind me to smile.
watermelon is the best thing ever.
I believe that the new thing that God is doing in me in the area of contentment will further cause me to be of better use for His glory. He has a new assignment for me: Preschool Music and Movement Teacher. I start next week and I am eager to be used by God in that assignment. It’s a complete blessing: it works for our family and I couldn’t be happier about what the job is all about. God is good and I appreciate His leadership in every area of my life.

This new assignment also meant saying goodbye to other assignments. I was so blessed to be part of my local MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) for 3 years. I can honestly say that God, through MOPS, brought me a lot of encouragement when I needed the most. Oh, I’m also thankful for the ability of making a mean breakfast casserole. Ha! My whole family benefited from my MOPS membership and I am beyond thankful to God for that opportunity!

I appreciate your prayers as I embark in this new season of life. I know that my steps are ordered by the Lord and I totally rely on His leadership. In all my ways I will acknowledge Him, which will be quite the adventure!

• What are some of the God lessons you learned this summer my friend?
