• What is the single biggest time-waster in your life, and what will you do about it this year? - Mindless browsing. My goal is to be present and to do one thing at a time. My second biggest time-waster is worrying. I am planning on learning to surrender my concerns to God faster.
• For whose salvation will you pray most fervently this year? I have a few people I've been praying for and I will continue. I believe there's hope and my job is to keep believing God.
• What one thing could you do to improve your prayer life this year? I can pray more often as a habit. I prayed way more last year than usual but I can always add more prayer time in my schedule. Oh, just found the key, put it in my schedule!
• What single thing that you plan to do this year will matter most in 10 years? In eternity? Investing in my husband and kids' wellbeing.
• What area of your life most needs simplifying, and what's one way you could simplify in that area? The past few years I did a great job in simplifying my home life (organizing). This year I want to simplify my meals. I want to find a day and time to work on that and stick with it.
• What habit would you most like to establish this year? I succeeded in last year's habit to journal more (yes!). This year i would like to be great at journaling my food intake.
• Who do you most want to encourage this year? My Zeke and our children.
• What's one new way you could be a blessing to your pastor (or to another who ministers to you) this year? I can listen to Zeke and really help him grow in his ministry.
• What's one thing you could do this year to enrich the spiritual legacy you will leave to your children and grandchildren? I can live what I believe and I can carefully explain any questions the kids might have about our faith.
• What book, in addition to the Bible, do you most want to read this year? I have a few in my Amazon wish list as well as my bed side.
• What one thing do you most regret about last year, and what will you do about it this year? I regret not accepting the fact that a new season brings about new people. I regret grieving relationships I had before. I regret not letting go faster.
• What's the most important trip you want to take this year? I'd love to go to Brasil: it's been a while. I also want to visit friends in other parts of the world.
• What skill do you most want to learn or improve this year? Writing.
• What one biblical doctrine do you most want to understand better this year, and what will you do about it? I succeed in taking a Bible Study Methods class this year. Next year, I want to better explain to people how God can meet them where they are. I know this is not a doctrine but something I care about.
If those who know you best gave you one piece of advice, what would they say? Would they be right? What will you do about it? Be who God called you to be without holding anything back. I think they would be right. I think I will follow their advice.
• What's the most important new item you want to buy this year? I'm more into saving than buying. I'd say I want to continue this trend.
• In what area of your life do you most need change, and what will you do about it this year? I think to humbly accept the daily lessons that come from likely and unlikely sources.
