Weight Watchers: Losing Weight on Vacation

Monday, January 1, 2018

Happy new year dear friend! I pray that 2018 is your best year yet! I plan on continuing my goal of spreading hope online, one post at a time here at simplycintia.com!
Oxford, Mississippi
We are back from a quick Christmas vacation. It was great seeing family and friends. Believe it or not, the last time I was on Weight Watchers and went to see my family I was hard at work counting points, exercising and I even found a meeting to attend. The result was a very good weight loss. 6 years later, I am doing Weight Watchers online, following their brand new plan. I tracked when I could and I didn't exercise at all. My exercise was taking the Christmas trash out and keeping up with the kids. I honestly thing this is the second week I don't exercise in the past 5 years.
Because I struggle with food choices for road trips, I decided to do my best and pack good snacks so the kids and I don't have to buy anything on the road.
I knew that Christmas is the time where there are extra treats everywhere but somehow, I wasn't too worried about that. I simply told myself, 'just do your best.' After I fixed the kids plates, I filled mine with greens, green beans, and a few other items. Half of my plate was green, so I was excited about that. I had a little dessert but not much. The rest of my vacation time I tried to make the best choices possible. One time when we went out for Mexican food, all of us shared fajitas. Another time when I ordered a baked potato with chicken and veggies instead of sandwich and chips. On the trip back home, I ordered a small chili from Wendy's, which was pretty filling.
Doing my best paid off, because when I got home, I noticed I was 1.6 lb lighter than my last weigh in. I am grateful and excited to go on till I reach my goal.
hello digital scale!
One of my Christmas gifts was a digital food scale. I used it today and I was amazed at how much 3 oz of beef roast really looks like. I was guessing all food weights until today. I am sure that this scale will help me reach my goal more efficiently.
I have all the tools I need to succeed in getting back to my normal BMI in 2018. The hardest tool to achieve I already have: persistence.

Goal for the week: Track, measure and weigh everything. Exercise at least 3 times.
Start Weight: 175 lbs
{Goal Weight:} 136 lbs
Current Weight: 168 lbs
