It's been 4 days since you gave me the greatest gift a mother can receive: a daughter. I don't look at her as a pretty little accessory, I see her as your child being entrusted to my husband and I. Many family members came to celebrate her arrival, more than the first time we had a baby. I asked why not that many came before now and I have settled with You know what's best, You are all wise.
I wish I could say that it was a stress-free day for me but it wasn't. Still, I have so many reasons to say thank you: the familiar side effects after c-section are back and some I experienced last time are not. I cried about swollen feet last time. This time I put them up, my awesome husband massages them for me, I know it will take some time and it will come to pass. My family has helped me a lot and I am thankful for their helping presence.
Dear God, I choose o believe that You have your hand in orchestrating all of those who came together to celebrate new life in our family. With all our failures and virtues, you have made us family. Help me not to put myself in a pedestal, c-section or not. Help me to learn the lessons Jesus teaches me in this precious fourth day of my daughters life. Help me to hang in there and walk in love.
"And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Colossians 3:14
This is a series of letters to God, written while we welcomed my second bundle of joy home. These letters express my circumstances, feelings and the hope I have in God. Enjoy it!
Congratulations!! I cannot wait to see more pictures - I know she is beautiful. I am so happy everyone is doing well!
Deus abençoe sua filhota!! Glória a Ele por toda sua familia...
