The Deception of Perfection

Tuesday, September 9, 2014

Perfection is a funny little thing. Admirable, it shines right in front of our eyes with images of the ideal life. What happens in your heart is a feeling of inferiority. That which shines through perfection might be far from truth as the east is from the west. Only God knows the whole truth, so it is unwise to admire the partial.

The one who performs and entertains brilliantly might be plagued by paralyzingly insecurity. That perfect structure we call a house might not be a home filled with the warmth of love. Don't be fooled but also know that the temptation to succumb to the lure of perfection will come.

Don't be discouraged and know that although now we see dimly, one day we will see face to face. Now I know in part, then I shall know fully, even as I am fully know.

While here on earth, we will all deal with the deception of perfection. Oh but when the Perfect One comes He will make everything perfect as He is.

This is more true than I like to admit. Thanks for writing about this subject.
