Blameless

“Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen. Jude 1:24-25 (ESV)

Now that we are getting close to the end of our 40-day journey, I have to address doubt. If you are doubting that you really changed, let me encourage you today.
I like a good remodeling show. Trading Spaces was one of the early remodeling shows. Neighbors swap houses and with the help of professionals, they remodel a room. The problem is, the homeowner has no say in what gets done. Most people enjoy the remodel. Knowing what I now know, I don’t doubt that everything is planned, even the surprised looks.
When you decide to go on a 40-day journey with God, there are no before and afters for a camera. The journey is arduous and humiliating at times. The good thing is that unlike a home remodel that will fade away, the change that God does in our lives affects our eternal destiny.
Some of you tried to change before. You stopped complaining for a little bit but then, you went back to your old ways. Today’s scripture encourages us because it says that God Himself will change us and present us blameless before God.

We still have to do our part. We need to work with God. We need to stay in His presence. We need to read the Bible, pray and continue to live lives of thanksgiving.

Don’t doubt or be discouraged. God’s work in your life will produce fruit. God will be glorified and you will be used by God to bless people with your words.
Prayer: God I believe that you started a good work in me. I am thankful for that work. I believe that will complete the work you started in my character. One day, as I continue to walk with you as my Lord, you will present me blameless before God. To Him be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.
