My updates
My nutritional week started yesterday with a bang! I had to wake up early, so instead of getting to work 2 hours early, I went to the gym. I worked on the elliptical for 1 hour straight. During lunch, I went for a walk with a friend. The weather was so wonderful for a lovely walk! My husband cooked the night before so I had delicious leftovers. Also, I decided to say goodbye to conventional salad dressing and say hello to olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette.
My goal is to increase my “calories out” this week by 100 calories at least, meaning, workout a little more so I can burn 100 extra calories.
I made traditional brownies for my husband. I learned to ‘get rid’ of sweets. What we like to do is to keep it at the house for one night (the night be baked it) and either freeze them so Zeke can eat them later or we give it away at work. If we have guests for dinner it’s really easy to serve them instead of baking a whole new batch. I bought a Kitchenaid mini muffin mold and that’s where I bake my brownies. It takes more work than pouring everything in one form but it’s good if I decide to treat myself. I’m less likely to overeat by eating one or two of those than I would be when I can cut my own piece. They look extremely cute too!

I'm excited about sharing my latest culinary discovery with a friend: a four bean hot& sour soup. It sounds weird but it tastes good to me. Let's see what she says after dinner.
