"The reward of losing weight is so great that it wipes out all the bad memories along the way. God has made us conquerors, and He empowers us to do those things which we set our minds and hearts too." Dan R. Dick
I want to thank God for bringing me this far by faith. Because of God's intervention in my desperate story, I will begin the summer of 2008 over 35 pounds lighter than the last one. God is so good. I come with thankfulness today and also with a lot of joy. How different will be this summer for me? Last summer my worries were to adjust to my new lifestyle. I had to remember to buy enough fruits and vegetables for the week, cut them up to make my life easier during the week, you get the picture. Now that I'm used to all that, I plan to refine my craft. I can create a home weekly menu as we try new seasonal vegetables and legumes. We had bulger wheat last week, this week we tried (and loved) kale. I can give a summer boost to my exercise routine. I said I would never do it but I did it. I went back to Spin class. I told the teacher she got all I had yesterday. Spin is the hardest thing I've done in a gym. I think is harder than Boot Camp class. Why did I get back? I didn't want to be bored and I knew I was going to get lots of calories burned. Bingo and bingo. My next challenges are to go back to Boot Camp and attend Body Blasters for the first time. I have decided to follow the way God has for me, no matter the season. I'm moving forward. I'm not going back, I'm moving ahead. I'm here to declare to you: MY PAST IS OVER! In Christ all things are made new and I surrender my life to Him as I move FORWARD!
PS: This is a photo of Zeke and I Thanksgiving day 2007. I had to give that outfit away, it no longer fits me.
