Easter

We've had a great Easter weekend. I'm still adapting to being in a different culture (almost forgot the Easter dinner is a big deal) and not being pregnant two Easters in a roll (not as tired in order to cook the Easter dinner). It's been a weekend of family and thankfulness to Jesus, the real reason for Easter.
Saturday we met friends for a community Easter Egg Hunt. Last year LP was not walking at all but we went to get photos and take my nieces. This year LP handled the Easter Egg Hunt like a Champ, no training needed (ha ha!). Here we are afterwards in our annual Easter photo:

This year I tried not to compare cultures so much and the fact that I haven't had a huge chocolate egg to eat in a while (13 years to be exact). I tried to focus on the real reason for the holiday. I am inspired to focus on Christ's resurrection. I am focused on what He says. This is one of the scriptures I've been reading this season:
Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen. “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” Revelation 1:7-8
Jesus, thanks for the resurrection power that lives inside of me. As I celebrate Easter I refuse to get my focus off the fact that You are alive and that's all that matters. Enjoy your Easter friends!
