The Now

Thursday, June 2, 2011

The house is quiet, except for the wonderful music of Zeke. I am thinking about an endless to do list but The Now keeps coming to my mind. I often encounter The Now in the simplest things in life. When I hear my kids laughing together, I think, 'this is happiness' and I enjoy The Now
Mother's Day wasn't totally enjoyable for me. I decided to claim The Now on the grounds that it was all I had and I was going to enjoy the day, no matter what. When I have bad days, I remember to embrace The Now because I really have no other option.
Jesus talked about The Now. This is what He said:

"Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes." Matthew 6:34 (The Message)

Instead of worrying about tomorrow, why not embrace The Now? It makes all kind of sense. As for me, I will enjoy all the joys and challenges The Now brings, knowing my Heavenly Father knows that I need all these things (Matthew 6:32).

I am so blessed to listen to beautiful music everyday.

What a great "now" word. Thanks, Cintia, for sharing and letting yourself be used to bless others in such a great way. Love you!
