This week I've been really needing to meditate on the correct things. I ran into these verses and loved them so much. Here are a few translations of them as well as my thoughts.:
Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him. Psalm 37:7
• I'm not responsible for results. This is freedom to my soul!
The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Psalm 37:23 (NLT)
• God is pleased with me.
Singers and dancers alike will say," My whole source of joy is in you." Psalm 87:7 (HCSB)
Singers and dancers alike say, “For me, you are the source of everything.” Psalm 87:7 (CJB)
"All my roots are in you." Psalm 87:7 (ISV)
"Zion is the source of all our blessings." Psalm 87:7 (GWT)
“All my springs of joy are in you.” Psalm 87:7 (NASB)
• Last Sunday the message at church was about joy. I am encouraged to know where my source of joy comes from.
QUESTION: How much time do you spend meditating on good things?
