Election Day 2016

Tuesday, November 8, 2016

It's been so interesting watching the democratic process in the U.S. since I've arrived here in 1998. I'm a permanent resident, so election time is specially interesting. I was blessed to attend a Historically Black College and learn about the rich African American heritage in this country. I'm thankful for the past which gives all the right to vote on Tuesday. I also thank God for my native land. The history of Brazil is much different from the history of the U.S. It was there that I watched my parents and grandparents trust God, no matter how unstable the government and our very streets are. I have learned to embrace this trust for myself, knowing that God is sovereign and He is very much in control. I get to be an agent of faith in God and trust in Jesus, the Hope of the world, while here on earth. Enjoy your right to vote and take advantage of your privilege to pray and believe God always. Much love my friends! Have an amazing election day!
