Hello there friends!
I thought about giving you an update on all things real life here.
eBook
A few months ago, I received a lot of questions about friendships. I was working on an eBook called "Finding your Tribe" and the questions helped me close the book with a golden key as we say in Brazil. My eBook is available for purchase now. If you are looking for a good read during the holiday season and throughout the year, buy a copy and share the good news with your friends. Thank you for your support!
Podcast
Season 1 of the Simply Cintia Podcast is coming to an end. Next week, the topic is "the anatomy of friendships." All the previous episodes are available now so listen, review and share the word with your friends.
I haven't decided if I am going to record season 2 yet. The support for season 1 hasn't matched my expectations so this just might be a one and done. If you listened, reviewed and supported the Podcast, thank you very much. If you haven't, there is still time. Thank you for your continuing support of SimplyCintia.com!
Thanksgiving
I have always loved the Thanksgiving holiday. Whether we are at home or traveling, the season requires preparation from me. I begin by preparing my heart. The kids and I have been practicing thankfulness daily. I told them that we need to be thankful year round, not just on Thanksgiving. Being thankful in all circumstances is challenging. This week, for example, I had to look in the mirror and tell myself I couldn't be thankful and cranky at the same time. God has been great to us and I adjusted my attitude to His immense goodness.
My home always needs adjustments during the holidays. The rhythm is different in a home with small kids. My desire is to be sure we enjoy our home during the holidays. I can't obsess with perfection. I am doing all I can to get things organized but my heart is to have a cozy, welcoming, enjoyable home during the holiday season. I wrote a post called "how I make my home cozy." The plan is to practice all of these methods to enjoy our home during the holiday season.
My focus is family and home because I'm not a big fan of shopping. I shop by necessity and I am very determined not to stay in a store longer than needed. You won't see me at the mall during the holiday season (or any other time). I'm the person who does all she can so she stays away from shopping centers. I'm also a saver by nature, I guess that explains a lot about me.
Goals
I am making peace with my 2018 goals and I am working towards dreaming for 2019. This process hasn't been easy. I don't know why I decided to be harsh with my 2018 results. I'm quickly getting over it so I can find contentment and thankfulness. It has been a fantastic year and I am eager to keep pushing until December 31. I also believe that while most the year is gone, I can still make progress.
If you haven't started thinking about your 2019 goals, you should. Don't wait until January.
Thank you for reading my blog this year. I have been doing this for 15 years and I have no plans for stopping. Writing is a joy. My aim is to spread hope online, one word at a time.
