1. What did you do in 2021 that you’d never done before?

Learned to drive a jetski. It was epic, to say the least!

2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I did keep up with my goals. I am writing 2022 goals as well. If you aim for nothing you will reach it every time.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
I go to a large church so a few ladies I know gave birth.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Yes. My cousin. A dear childhood friend. There were a lot of mentors who died. I lost my uncle Danny and close friends in Brasil. I'm encouraging myself with the thought that grief means I loved greatly as I was loved greatly.

5. What countries did you visit?
Zero. Next year is the year to travel tough.

6. What would you like to have in 2022 that you lacked in 2021?
The resolve to accept circumstances I can't change with contentment and trust.

7. What dates from 2021 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Each family birthday and my wedding anniversary. Family is what really matters.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Learning how to be grateful from the heart despite my circumstances.

9. What was your biggest failure?
It depends on who you ask. I made a lot of mistakes. I think I failed when I thought that people think like God.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nothing major, thank God.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
We traveled a few times. Experiences with family were worth the investment.

12. Where did most of your money go?
Giving and debt reduction.

13. What did you get really excited about?
CrossFit.

14. What song will always remind you of 2021?
Zeke's new songs and arrangements for sure.

15. Compared to this time last year, are you:
• happier or sadder? Content.
• thinner or fatter?  Stronger
• richer or poorer? More Generous.

16. What do you wish you’d done more of?
Slept more hours at night. Sleep is my superpower.

17. What do you wish you’d done less of?
Worry about what people will think of my obedience to God.

18. How did you spend Christmas?
. TBD

19. What was your favorite TV program?
I really enjoyed discovering shows on BritBox.

20. What were your favorite books of the year?
Other than the Bible: Reading while Black (Esau McCaulley), When to walk away (Gary Thomas), Culture Making (Andy Crouch), Finding God's Path through your trials (Elizabeth Geroge), The power of humility (R.T. Kendall).

21. What was your favorite music from this year?
Everything Zeke wrote and arranged for sure.

22. What were your favorite films of the year?
I honestly haven't watched anything remarkable. I focused on easy movies just so my brain doesn't have to do a lot of work.

23. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
My sweet family and I went to get my birthday drink from Starbucks in Missouri for breakfast. We stopped in Little Rock for a delicious ArkMex lunch and we arrived back in TX in time to run errands at Target and go to sleep. It was a fun birthday for sure.

24. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
I believe that God was merciful and my satisfaction was directly connected to my attitude.

25. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2021?
Well, I developed the habit of investing in accessories. It's been a fun hobby for sure.

26. What kept you sane?
My husband, kids, running, and CrossFit.

27. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2021.
No one is responsible to cultivate my potential. Not even the God who gave it to me.
