5 Ways to Pray More with your Children
One thing that has helped my spiritual life is praying with my children. It's never too early to start praying with them. At our home we incorporate prayer throughout our day. We pray for our meals (before she has her bottle too), we pray for my husband and our family all over the world. We sing praises throughout the day. If we are all stationed somewhere we do a Bible reading (usually a few verses of the book of Proverbs). My oldest one has learned to say Amen, so whenever he starts saying it, we start praying.

Here are other ways to incorporate more prayer with children during the day:

1 • Pray at set times of the day such as meal times, when they wake up, when they go to sleep.
2 • Say a blessing over them. Speak God's word over their future. For example: "LP, I bless you to  live a long life. All will go well with you. You are a man who knows how to honor God, your parents and all people."
3 • Say prayers of thanksgiving. If it's raining for example, look outside the window and say 'thank you God for sending us rain, in Jesus' name."
4 • Teach them how to pray in Jesus' name by being consistent with it at the end of your own prayers.
5 • Pray the Word of God. As we read our devotionals, we pray what we just read. For example, if we read a few verses of Psalm 23, we may pray ' Lord, we thank you that goodness and mercy shall follow Z Girl all the days of her life, in Jesus' name, amen."

I post this document close to the changing table so that I remember to pray more for my kids (this was given to me when I visited a church last year):
