Strange Prayer

Sunday I prayed a strange but beautiful prayer. I asked God for the ability to tune my ears to the frequency of heaven so my life on earth will make sense.

I love listening to the radio and I learned that tuning in to different radio frequencies is a way of receiving communication. Just like our local radio stations communicate different messages, heaven also has a message for each one of us.

My prayer is that God will tune my spiritual ears to the frequencies of heaven. Psalm 119:89 says “Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven.” It is important to have a working knowledge of the Word of God because that’s settled in heaven and it brings amazing results on earth. The way I get a working knowledge of the Word of God is through reading, studying and meditating on the Bible.

In the Old Testament (Exodus 16), we learned that bread came down from heaven. In the New Testament as in John 6:30-35, we see that Jesus is the bread of God who comes down from heaven to give life to the world. It is through meeting with God on a daily basis that we never hunger and never thirst.

Matthew 6:10 says “Your Kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” My prayer is that as my ears are tuned to the frequency of heaven, my life on earth will make sense. When we are connected to the frequency of heaven, God’s Kingdom comes and His will is done in and through us.

I pray that you are encouraged to seek God this week. Even if all you can do is take 10 minutes a day, it is worth drawing near to God in order to tune in to the Frequency of Heaven.

PRAYER: Lord, help me set aside distractions and tune in to You this week. Help me start and keep the habit of meeting with You on a regular basis. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
