When your Efforts are not Good Enough

Tuesday, December 18, 2012

Have you ever had a day when all your efforts are not good enough? You put a lot of good work into your day but no matter how much you went out of your way to deliver excellency, it is still not good enough. No one clapped for you, no one cheered you on, in fact, only your mistakes were pointed out. Ouch. We have all been there.
I choose to believe that when you can't find any horizontal encouragement, there's a God in heaven who smiles when He thinks of you. Here's a little Word of encouragement for days like the one I described:

"The Lord your God is in the midst of you, a Mighty One, a Savior [Who saves]! He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest [in silent satisfaction] and in His love He will be silent and make no mention [of past sins, or even recall them]; He will exult over you with singing." Zephaniah 3:17 (Amplified)

"The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17 (NIV 1984)

So, are you smiling yet? God is.
