Love, the Motherhood Transformer

Wednesday, February 20, 2013

I am steady learning new things as a mother. I remember when I was expecting my first born. I was just excited to be pregnant and I had no clue about all the good things I was to become. I heard you experience love in a new level but this love in my experience is quite transforming. Here's the kind of love that works in the lives of mothers:
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." I Corinthians 13:4-7 (NIV)
As I submit to the processes of life, I too become more patient, kind... you get the point. I dislike the emphasis in worrying when it comes to motherhood. I like the emphasis in casting my cares on God who cares for me. I love the fact that my love as a mother grows in quality as I trust God to lead me in this transforming process.
