It's been a full week in the Listenbee household. Here are a few of our highlights:

1. My middle child mastered the hula hoop. It was so impressive to see how quickly they learn how to do new things! I am also bias to low tech, highly active things.
2. The things I do for my kids. Art (and crafts and a huge list of things) is not my thing so I have been doing a lot of things outside of my box such as drawing. It turns out the internet has a lot of tutorials. Why don't I print it? I don't have a printer and no, I don't need to buy one.
3. Here is the result of my drawing. I helped with this project because I felt so close to it. My kid usually scratches the darkest crayon color he can find in it making it disappear. Not this time.
4. My daughter asked me to install this. I'm not sure if she thought it was a Christmas present or if she thought we took the potty training thing to an extreme. I am happy to report that I did and I am not interested in doing it again.
5. This is my non-scale victory of the week: these clothes do not fit me any more. I badly needed to go through my closet and these clothes needed to go. My mom is taking the majority to Brasil with her and the rest is going to the Goodwill.
This week I entered the Houston Marathon lottery. The results won't come out til the end of the month. I asked my friends several times to join me on Facebook, only one person agreed to do the half. Better than nothing hum? I like to work towards a goal and the marathon will be a dream come true. I keep thinking it's probably like pregnancy: it looks glamorous from the outside, challenging when you're going through it and at the end you wonder why you ever did it just to do it all over again. Have an amazing weekend friends!
