Chevron Houston Marathon 2017 Training Week 7

Friday, August 12, 2016

Hey friends! What a busy (yet productive) week this has been! I won't bore you with details, but I will tell you that getting a training run in was no joke. Life has a way of taking over and unless I have a clearly defined goal (Chevron Houston Marathon), I will not make it.

So training I did. I put on my (new) running shoes and I got out there. I don't think I'm better than anyone for it, I think that weeks like the one I just lived makes me very much human.
I thought about the Chevron Houston Marathon and I ran happily. One day I ran twice. Here's a bit of Marathon news:
The Houston Marathon Foundation is a part of OKRA Charity Saloon's August competition. If you've never been, they select four charities a month, one food or drink (non-alcoholic too) purchase earns one vote and the charity with the most votes wins 100% of the following month's proceeds. So if the HMF gets the most votes in August we would win September's profits. The HMF will be having no-host happy hours every Thursday this month and we'd love to have you with us!
That's all for now friends. Keep training and running as strong as you can!
