God has blessed our family with some interesting adventures and moving is one of them. I'd say we don't move a lot but we've moved enough for me to learn some awesome things.
• I'm amazed at how staying organized has helped the process. I'm the person who found an organization process that worked and I decided to stick with it. I use it all the time. I used it today. It works and I'm so blessed because of it.
• I've been pacing myself. I'm giving myself time to pack and to get ready so I don't have to do it all at one time.
• Peace is key. I have heard that moving is one of the most stressful events a person may face in life (in America. Let's be real, people in other parts of the world might have a different opinion). I also realize that with God's peace, the process is much different. I'm not dreading the move. I prayed about it and I rely on God's peace to lead the way.
• Friends are a treasure. God always sends us friends to love and help us in ways that are beyond my resources. I'm grateful.
• Donate before during and after the move. The only way to stay light is to donate. I'm a believer in freely giving from the much I have received.
• Unboxing deserves a party. I know that people often throw parties when they need to get their stuff in boxes but I think that unboxing deserves its own party. Everything else that's left boxed for years enters the 'pet' category. I don't know about you but I never throw my pet boxes away. Oh well!
Whether we have a company helping us or we are doing the move ourselves, we can always count on God to make transitions what they're meant to be. Just transitions.
