Did you grow last year?

“The LORD takes pleasure in those who fear Him, in those who hope in His mercy.”
Psalm 147:11 (NKJV)

Today I am grateful for what’s been, the school year, what I eagerly wait for what will be, the summer.

Last summer was the beginning of a challenging season for us. God blessed us and caused us to grow through it. Isn’t this true for every season with Him?

If he is our guide, hos can’t we be blessed and grow in every season?

This time of year parents compare before and after photos of their kids. What a difference a year makes! They grow and change right before our eyes. Too bad I can’t take a before and after photo of my inner life.

I can’t measure growth in a physical sense but I can see how God delivered me as I hoped in His mercy.

God has a lot of mercy to give. We just have to direct our needs to the correct source. God needs to be our source for hope, help and strength on a daily basis.

Have you grown spiritually in the last year? Here’s the thing: you don’t need to be going through a tough spot to consider growing your faith. You can decide you want to know God better and submit to His plan for you. You will find His plan written in His word, the Bible.

Today I am grateful for God Himself, a merciful and loving God who takes care of every area of my life.
