Listen to the podcast:

I'm standing at a fork in the road. I can make the same choice of road as before. I can also change directions and try a new way. This Fall, I decided to try a new of fueling my body.

I'm a slow learner yet I consider myself steadfast and consistent. The issue is, I also enjoy results. If I am not seeing results, I have to change.

Change is challenging. It challenges my norms, my sense of comfort, and even my sense of self. I am okay with letting go of all three to achieve results.

Have you ever felt this way? You can keep doing the same thing or you can accept you need to change to achieve results.

I took baby steps to get here. The first one was to track my food on paper. It was necessary to have evidence of the amount and variety of foods I was eating. I did this for 6 months.

My second step was to admit I needed help so I contacted Constantly Varied Nutrition and set up an appointment. It was imperative to have a professional look at both my InBody scans and my food journal so I could get guidance. Dana is also my CrossFit coach so she knows firsthand how much I move per week.

The consultation was brilliant. I'm amazed at how I've been looking at the same evidence as she was and her advice matched everything I was feeling. To put it simply, I was not eating enough food to fuel my level of fitness.

The third step was to decide what I was going to do with the knowledge and guidance I received from Dana. I decided to create an action plan.

This series is my reflection on how I will achieve my goal. I plan on both writing and recording everything I experience.

I decided to call this my solo health journey. Although I have a lot of help along the way, I'm the only person who can execute my plan for success. I hope you can join me!
