Moving to a new community means finding a new face-to-face support system. I was so blessed to find one of the MOPS Groups in our area in January of this year! I tried to get in last Fall but they were already full, so I tried again in January and we were blessed to find a spot.
What is MOPS? It stands for "Mothers of Preschoolers." It is a Christ-centered support group for mothers, who need the help of their sisters in the journey of motherhood. I have found an amazing group of women who just like me, want to be the best they can be for their families. This year we are focusing on the Plunge theme: "love like our lives depend on it." How cool is that? Every time I leave a meeting I feel refreshed and ready to do just that: love my family even better. I have received a lot of great advice from my MOPS friends. I learned how to prepare my older kids for baby number 3, I learned how to deal with the transition phase of my son went through during his first week in school among many other cool things. Here's a cool introduction video about MOPS.
