Meditation as the Key

Monday, April 22, 2013

My attitude is directly connected to the things I meditate on. If my reaction to something is bad, it usually comes from meditating on negative things. I ran into this Bible verse last week and it has helped me a lot:
"May my meditation be sweet to Him; I will be glad in the LORD." Psalm 104:35
God hears what I am meditating on. I know not everything that goes through my head is good but what a great thing is to have a meditation so good that it is sweet to God. What kind of stuff I should be meditating on? Here's a good list:
"whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things." Philippians 4:8
QUESTION: What are you meditating on today? Can you change it to something sweet to God?
