You: God's Fashion Design

Thursday, May 2, 2013

God made you with intentionality. He made you unique and amazing. Yesterday I ran into a Bible verse that gave even more insight into how important we are to God:
"Your hands have made me and fashioned me; Give me understanding, that I may learn Your commandments." Psalm 119:73
God not only made us, He fashioned us! There is a purpose for you to fulfill in this life. Your uniqueness is part of it. Your gifts, your talents were given to you for the benefit of others. I wonder who can be uniquely blessed by you today. There are the obvious people you can help (family) and the not so obvious ones. I think we can all start small. I believe we can use our words to uplift others. We can encourage people along the way. Today I chose to greet walkers and runners along my route and say "good morning, have a blessed day." This is a very small way to encourage others. I am also going to write an encouraging note to a friend who recently lost a loved one. My goal is to remind her that we are here to help her in this new reality.
I think it's important not to let busyness stop us from helping other through our unique talents. Sure, we all have an endless to-do list but the thing that will matter in eternity, is how good of a stewart you were of the gifts and talents that are stored inside of you. You were made and fashioned in an extraordinary way. I want to encourage you to recognize that by using your abilities to the benefit of others. Starts small and let me know how it works for you!
