Last year I recorded a video series called Simplify Christmas. I encourage you to watch it because it is still relevant. I talked about several topics such as Budget, Clutter, Health and Parenting. For some reason the Parenting category has been the most popular. In it, I answer the question on how to make sure that kids don't feel entitled to receive an enormous amount of gifts during this season.
My prayer and desire is to keep this season as simple as the reason for it. Stress has no place in the life of Jesus so I will not let it have room in my life. Jesus' invitation is for you and I and for this season. He says come to me and I will give you rest. Furthermore, He says: "Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I a gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Matthew 11:29-30
Christmas can still be simple. All it takes is accepting Jesus' invitation.
