Chevron Houston Marathon Week 27

Saturday, January 9, 2016

This is it: my training is officially over. We have this long to go:
This morning I ran 8 miles with my dear running group. During our last week of training our head coach gives us tips about marathon prep week as well as the big day. I'm thankful to God for the support I have through my running group.
This past week I've been enjoying some of the Official Chevron Houston Marathon Sketchers Marathon gear. This jacket is super comfortable! Look for a secret pocket when you buy yours. Well done Sketchers!
I also love my running hat. I needed one, so the more reason to be thankful. Look for the inscription inside of the hat. This is a must have for your next happy runs!
I'm thankful to God for the support of my amazing family. My husband (who is running the Houston Half for Bel Inizio!) and kids are the reason why this whole thing works. I'm also thankful for friends who are encouragers. I'm blessed to be part of my running group. Each group run was met with so much determination by all! Thank God for Fort Bend Fit.
Next week it's go time and I will blog about my weekend experience as soon as I can. Until then, I count on your prayers for a safe, injury-free and PR worthy of a marathon. Thanks for joining me in this 27-week journey!
