Eating is an activity I practice most days. Last week as a newbie at work, I ate out quite a bit. I was very proud of my choices. Also, I was impressed with the many healthy choices at work. The unhealthy ones were also available. I believe in not sheltering myself from a certain group of foods because it's not realistic. I try instead, to practice self-control.
Self-control is something I aim to use at all times. This Weight Watchers journey has been masked as 'the practice of self-control.' My goal is to master it and to continue for the rest of my life.
Here are the positive points of eating at work last week:
• I found where the good eating spots are and I found some great options. Oh, I also found where the good coffee spot is.
• I said no to dessert. It took me many years but I got to the point where I can say no with confidence.
• I learned that bringing lunch from home is the way to go.
In addition to eating out at work, we ate out quite a few times as a family. I was just tired and trying to wrap my being into a new schedule. I made some good choices in those occasions as well.
I made peace with the fact that weight loss can be a slow process. As long as I stay the course, everything will be just fine.
Goal for the week: Track 6 days with the ww app. Exercise at least 5 times.
