MWLISS: Groceries

Monday, November 23, 2020

You can't reach your weight loss goals unless you're first a great food shopper. This rule applies to me because part of my health goals includes eating more homemade food. I can't do that unless I buy groceries.

How I buy groceries is not as important as getting them to my house one way or another.

During the beginning of the pandemic, I bought my own groceries. Nowadays, unless my schedule is super busy, I make time to go to the store. Having groceries means my family can succeed.

How so? More dinners as a family. Healthier lunches and snacks for the kids. Good quality food helps us all thrive in all areas of our lives. Food is for fuel and we need it to be good.

When I don't have all of my groceries at home, I am more tempted to eat out. I'm not a fan of eating out excessively, to begin with so, grocery shopping is really my friend.

WW always teaches us to be prepared for our meals. Most meals I eat, my family will eat with me. I am blessed not to need a double menu.

I've developed the habit of coming up with a menu and from there, I make my grocery list. Sometimes, I add items throughout the week to be sure I don't forget anything.

The benefits of making Grocery shopping can be seen in a day like today. I don't need to go out because I have everything I need. I can rest, eat good food, and get ready for another workday.

I noticed I haven't blogged about WW on a regular since this Spring. If I consider that nothing is regular this year, I believe you will forgive me. Here are my stats as well as an archive of posts about WW. I hope to be more intentional about the end of this weight loss journey.
